. This class is necessary for those working on construction projects on quarry or mining sites. An annual 8-hour refresher class is also required to stay up to date. The annual class must be occupied no later than 1 year from the end of the month of the New Miner`s last annual or 24-hour training. If the annual class is not taken on that date, the full first class must be readmitted to obtain certification. OSHA requires certification from all forklift operators. This one-day course includes practical instruction and training required for the safe operation of forklifts. The cards are issued by the apprenticeship program for those who have succeeded. All courses are held on the training ground in New Alexandria, PA, unless otherwise stated. A three-year recertification is required to maintain certification and can be acquired by participating in one of the first certification classes.
